Share the Warmth Dinner for Lifeline Darling Downs

The congregation of St Anne’s Anglican Church at Highfields invites the Catholic Parish of St Mary McKillop, members of other congregations at St James’ Toowoomba, and other guests to our Share the Warmth Dinner on Friday 30 June 2023 from 6 pm.  Our guest speaker is Rachelle Patterson, Acting CEO and the Chief Operating Officer of Lifeline Darling Downs.  Rachelle oversees all counselling and other support programs across Lifeline Darling Downs’ footprint.  Rachelle has extensive experience working in the NGO and Government sectors including areas of mental health, out-of-home care, suicide prevention, homelessness, youth, Indigenous affairs, research and criminology. These professional appointments have been in a number of locations across Australia including remote communities, regional and inner-city locations.  Rachelle is strongly committed to working with people who experience disadvantage and supporting them to build their capacity and resilience and realise their potential as contributing members of society.  Rachelle holds a Bachelor of Psychology, Masters of Suicidology and Masters of Health Promotion, as well as numerous other sector specific qualifications. Rachelle will talk about what she is seeing in our community, and touch in how our community can help Lifeline to help others.  She will speak about shared values and what a thriving community looks like. 

This is a pot luck dinner: please bring a hearty dish to share. 

Donations of cash and/or warm clothing will be taken for Lifeline on the night.
