Small Groups and Adult Ministry

Small groups are a great way for adults to explore the Christian faith, make friendships, and support each other to grow in our relationship with God.  The Home Groups are small groups that are dedicated to deeper study of our Christian faith.  Anyone is welcome to join a small group at St Anne's.  To find one that you'll be comfortable with, contact Reid Mortensen.

THEMES AND VARIATIONS (HOME GROUP)

Themes and Variations explores the bible and topics that apply to everyday living, meeting (normally) on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays every month at 7.30pm. We meet informally at home and start with a cuppa and chat.  Please note the last two meetings for the year are on Thursday, 29 November and Thursday, 13 December.

Article 6 (home group)

Article 6 is a group devoted to deeper studies of the Bible and Christian living.  We meet on two Tuesday evenings every month in the comfort of a family home, and finish with supper.

Fellowship and Growth (Home Group)

Fellowship and Growth meets every second Wednesday of the month (1st and 3rd Wednesdays) at 9.30am, starting with a ‘cuppa’ and morning tea.  Fellowship and Growth also meets in a private home.   Fellowship and Growth is currently in recess - information about new studies will be posted soon.

ALPHA

The Alpha course amounts to 10 weekly sessions that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith.  We regularly run an Alpha course - which includes dinner, a short talk and a discussion in small groups at the end in which you can share your thoughts.

Cursillo group

Cursillo is a movement that aims to develop people into effective Christian leaders, initially over a three day weekend course.  It is widely adopted across many Christian denominations (although in some it is called the Emmaus Walk), and is promoted in Australia by the Anglican Cursillo Movement.  'Cursillistas'  (people who have undertaken Cursillo) in Highfields have a regular reunion group.  However, anyone is most welcome to come.

WHEN?  First Tuesday, 11.30am (monthly)
