Current Series

In the The Forgotten God author Francis Chan offers a new invitation to understand, embrace, and follow the Holy Spirit’s direction in our lives. His reflections on his church experience in the United States might apply here in Australia too.

In the name of the Father, the Son, and … the Holy Spirit. We pray in the name of all three, but how often do we live with an awareness of only the first two? Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit—the Helper—so that we could be true and living witnesses for Christ. The New Testament attests to what then unfolded.

This is neither a conservative theology nor a charismatic approach; rather it is a faith experience that is both practical and supernatural. The series explores the presence of the Holy Spirt in leading us to love people in His power for the common good.

The planned topics and dates for the series are:

  1. Why do I need the Holy Spririt? (1 August)

  2. What are you afraid of? (15 August)

  3. Holy Spirit 101 (5 September)

  4. Why do you want the Holy Spirit? (3 October)

  5. A real relationship (17 October)

  6. Forget about His will for your life! (7 November)

  7. Supernatural church (21 November)

A typical night includes:

  • Welcome, cuppa and chat

  • Short video (5-10 mins, easy to digest)

  • Discussion time and personal reflection

  • Readings between sessions (optional, not required)
